Acne can be;
1- Noninflammatory
2- Inflammatory
NONINFLAMMATORY ACNE
Noninflammatory is the most common Acne type. This type of acne can be cured with over the counter serums/creams or home remedies. They are further subcategorized into two types;
Whiteheads:
Whiteheads also are known as closed comedones, are frequently talked about acne type. They occur in hair follicles (pore) when sebum and dirt on the skin combine together to clog the pore.
They often appear as white or skin-colored tiny bumps on your face. Sometimes generating clusters on any part of your face. The color of the acne matches your skin color because it is closed under your skin.
Blackheads:
Blackheadalso known as open comedones occurs the same way a white head does. That is when a pore is clogged by the dead skin cells and sebum. The only difference is that the top of the pore is open unlike in whiteheads.
The open surface of the pore reflects black color hence known as blackheads. However, the rest of the pore is completely closed.
INFLAMMATORY ACNE
Contrary to noninflammatory acne, inflammatory acne appears to be red in color and usually swollen. The size of this type of acne is usually bigger. Because the redness around the acne takes more space on the skin.
Normal acne turns into inflammatory acne when contracted with bacteria. It could be bacteria already living on our face or on our fingers and nails. That’s why touching your acne is highly prohibited.
Examples of inflammatory acne;
Papules:
Papules you can say are the angry acne that turns red with infection. They are the result of clogged access oil, dead skin cells, and sebum in the pore along with bacteria that turns into an infection.
It’s never a good idea to rupture a papule, as it can lead the acne to get infected.
Pustule:
A pustule is acne that has generated pus in it. Due to the pus, the top of the acne looks off-white.
What aggravates a Papule to become Pustle is usually excess oil, bacteria, and skin debris. Usually, the growth period of a papule becoming a pustule is a few days depending on your skin type.
Sometimes, an allergic reaction to medicine or food, or an insect bite can also generate Pustules.
Nodules:
Unlike Pastules, Nodule roots deeper in the skin. At this point, you need a professional’s help immediately.
The bacteria in the pore acts fast and can further worsen the condition. Nodules look nothing like Pastule. A pastule has a pus-filled head or top. However, a Nodule is a tiny bump covered under the skin. It feels quite stiff and hard when you touch it and can be a little painful too.
Cysts:
Cysts are often painful. The bacteria that clogged the pore along with sebum and dead skin cells roots further deep into the skin than Nodules.
It looks like a bump bigger than Pastules filled with pus. It can occur anywhere on your body usually because of poor hygiene.
Cysts can not be treated at home, and often your Dr will recommend a course of antibiotics to get rid of it.

So here are the most common types of Acne that every one of us has faced once in a while.
It is very important to know your type of Acne to treat it carefully. Some Acne leave bigger scars that only go away with expensive treatments. Therefore, treating your acne as per their form is highly important.
